Accutane side effects

The part I find hard to believe is that a person is going to overdose on B5 in any way that would lead to all the problems Stoll refers to. B5 being water-soluble, the body would just pass on anything it doesn't need to the urine.

Stoll's account is so vague though, and he doesn't really mention any hard and fast specifics about his diet, vitamin supplementation, etc, that it stinks of scare tactics. As someone else pointed out, Stoll has a lot to gain by people using his methods instead of B5.

I'll reserve my own judgement for 6 months from now--if I have any of the symptoms Stoll mentioned, then I'll know there might be a problem. If I don't, then it'll be as I expect now. So far, my skin is improving--it's not getting "dry" at all, just less oily, but it is regaining its elasticity. It's ACCUTANE that makes skin "dry".

What is starting to annoy me though is how some people are recommendign Accutane as the be-all-end-all of acne treatment, and implying that those of us who point out its side effects are using our own scare tactics; those same side effects are LISTED right in the literature you get WITH the Accutane packaging! These aren't "phantom" symptoms, they're real enough that the manufacturer is responsible for warning patients about them.

So I'll take my chances with B5, and still recommend it over Accutane to anyone who asks (and yes, I know people who took Accutane and experienced the side effects).
